The Harry Potter series

Tell us how your game is inspired by one of the BBC Novels.
As parents we have enjoyed reading the Harry potter series with our children and expect to be doing soon with our grandchildren! We also very much enjoy playing board games together as a family and decided to take part in this Leeds Libraries Games Jam to challenge ourselves to create a game that everyone can enjoy together, even if playing from different locations over the internet.
We have used an adventure theme inspired by the Harry Potter series but rather than focusing on dark forces and conflict we imagined a time when magical and non magical communities co-exist and share an adventure.
So, in the game we have muggles equipped with ear defenders collecting mandrakes, players challenged at the exit door by the fat lady portrait and random moving staircases blocking off part of the map. When all else fails the Room of Requirement appears and those that are most in need benefit!
