Name of the book/theme your game is inspired by.
Nineteen Eighty-Four

Tell us how your game is inspired by one of the BBC Novels.
1984: The Resistance uses "Newspeak", the fictional language within the novel, as its main focus. It is also inspired by Big Brother and the totalitarian party's surveillance.

You must solve puzzles to correct the thought-limiting views and language of the party and find new ways to be expressive.

Overall, the game encourages you to join "The Hood", overthrow Big Brother and interact with your local world in a new way using augmented reality (AR).

This was such a creative concept and I am so intrigued about the use of AR. A really great connection to the themes in the book. The design is so striking and such a clever choice of collection image to use, perfect! Really hope we can play this at some point. It would be such a great way to introduce people to the book and of course a lot of the themes are still relevant today.

Thanks Rhian! We really appreciate your feedback. :-) Yes, we are big fans of the 1984 book — it's scarily relevant. George Orwell was really onto something.

Love the idea of fighting in 'The Hood' and the AR element is interesting too - ties in nicely with big brother. It's a cool idea.
