Patrick O'Brian's series is set in the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Wars, but is about navy life rather than just sea battles. This game tries to capture the flavor of the books, with its humor and humanity. Winning isn't just about money, it is ultimately also about pride, honor, and dignity.

This was so detailed and such a lot of thought had gone into the design and theme. I liked how you tried to capture as many elements of the novels as possible. I think this means that it would encourage people who may not have normally read this type of book to give it a go.
Can't wait to play this. Love the theme and the complexity. So much work has gone into this game - I am blown away. This is on my reading list now so that worked!
Hurray! I'm going to try to design some more cards so there's increased playability. Somehow the "storm at sea" card was missed out in my submission - I think that one will probably happen more than once!
