Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • With a humerous cast of characters to pick from and a large collection of items and abilities I enjoyed my play-throughs. I encountered a few runs where it appears as though an impossible battle scenario occurred with the equipment so far, so perhaps some balancing is in order but ultimately it was a fun time.
  • You have a really good start here! I love the art style and the overall gameplay is good. I think having a bit more detail in the UI would be helpful, like the health of each character.
  • The navigation controls aren’t super intuitive. For example, the holy beam doesn’t target enemies by default, which would make it more intuitive.
  • Super charming, I adore the designs and love the variety of characters and plots one can encounter. The UI feels like it could be streamlined, right now it's a little clunky. Here's some of the issues I had: - forgetting how much HP the enemy/ally has. - accidentally using items/abilities on the wrong person. - number of presses needed to equip an item. Aside from those things I had a great time with this game!
  • Good entry! I think it could become a great game with a bit more polish. Some notes: - I love the sprites! They look great and have lots of character. - The music could be a bit better, at times it's too "noisy". - The menus feel at times a bit clunky: for example, you can exit the equipment menu without confirmation, so I've left it without wanting to do it more that once. - Some weapons can't be equipped without knowing why. - The last monster focused on the dead partner instead of the alive MC, so I could beat it without even trying xD

This game could use a bit of quality of life work. For example, if an ability deal damage, it'd not bad to allow using it on the player's characters since some players might want to. However, it's be more player-friendly to have the default option be an enemy.

Developer

Thats a good call. I'll have to wait till after jam judging to fix. Thanks for the feedback

Jam Host

You can fix it when you want, you don't need to wait for jam judging for updating your game.
