What is the rate policy? Rate this game

Hi mates whats is the rate policy of the jam, some games has 0 rates and others 25, thats not fair at all.

I think that some parameters should be established so that all participants are obliged to vote, otherwise if anyone can interfere in the voting, there will be no votes according to the number of games.

Another option is as they do in other GameJams, only a jury votes in this way, they make sure that the votes are even for all the participants.

That beign said just rate my game if you like.

There are over 270 games, it's not really possible for judges to do all of the rating, there are just too many games.

Only people who have submitted a game are allowed to vote, and then the final cash prizes will be determined by the judges, looking at the top community rated games and others that stand out. That's the fairest system we were able to come up with to minimize cheating while allowing this many games to get rated and played.

Hopefully, members of our community will be heroes and go play and rate those games with 0 ratings. 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️
It's sad to see someone develop a game for 9 days and then not get any feedback on their game. 👀

How are the ranking works?

by rating or judges.

if someone made a good game but he had few ratings so can he will be win?

I'm also think it's very stupid. you spend a lot time and powers to make that piece. a lot nights without a sleep. and people have main projects or work but after submit game you should gaving raitings. I think that should do judges but not developers

First I do not want to offend anyone to be clear.

Now it seems really absurd to me to organize a Jam if you don't have enough staff to play all the games.

In my particular case, I spent every day until the last, investing time in creating my game, I even made updates 1, 2 and 3 times, to perfect the game. and then you tell me that I depend on others to know if it's good or not. and with the wickedness of people today.

I believe that the voting system is poorly organized, I prefer that 2 competent people judge it over 40 imbeciles.

It seems to me a big mistake on the part of the GDevelop organization in general.

In other gamejams that I have participated in, there were about 1,000 games and they are only valued by the judges and if they do not have time to play, the evaluation period is extended, that is logical.

Nothing as I say is just my opinion, no intention of offending anyone.

Yep. I spend a day now playing, reviewing, writing posts etc.  and could only reach 34 games. I have works to do so won't have much more time to review and play other peoples games. This means that from my part I gave a honest chance for the 34 game devs and same time treated the rest of the game devs with unfairness simply by not playing and reviewing their games

Actually I do feel Itch is well done in this matter, the default order is random for voting,  and I think for us creators is more fun to rate fairly, there's an option on the filters that let's you order by least rated games so that we can make this balanced, and all the creators seem active so far. Wesley said on the video that if they find a hidden gem it will win for sure, even if it's not on the community voted, so I wouldn't worry, just have fun!
