That was a lot of fun, the player has to be very active in attacking for a tower defense which makes it very chaotic. I really liked the mechanics, raising minions and blowing up crowds of enemies was very satisfying. I did feel like my growth potential was stunted since I couldn't use any of the lair actions more than once, it kinda meant as the levels got harder your only recourse was to be even more active with the exploding bodies and spells until you simply got overwhelmed.
So many cool ideas in this one, and the art - especially the environment - was awesome!
A few things were lacking polish here and there, but overall I think it's a great concept and there's a lot to love about this project.
I'm curious if you're planning to keep working this after the jam, since it seems like a good foundation to build on?
In any case, hope you're proud of what you've achieved here!
I know that myself and the artist are, just not in such a big rush, i think the other programmer is wanting too also.
Awesome, I'll keep an eye out for further developments!
One final playtest - great job kids!
thank you dad!!
loved all the art on this and the spells looked cool! i made it kind of a long way on the first play through so i was happy but i woulda liked more of a little blurb on how to play. overall great work!
I thought about that as i saw other pages
Tower defense with a unique twist of using the bodies of the enemies, that was cool. It was a bit confusing to tell when you could use a soul. I Got to wave ten or so and was only able to use the one soul. The spells seemed to work. I think if the UI just greyed out things that you couldn't use that would be a lot better than having the player continuously click on things they can't do. Anyway, it was fun and if I can figure out how to get a soul to work, I might give it another shot. Well done!

you select the souls tab and use the first 2 spells on the dead bodies, 1 raises and 1 makes them explode if you have the souls
