Great atmosphere, nailed the lighting and the sounds. It always feels like something is right behind you. I like that the keys are spread out forcing you explore the entire house. I feel like if you wanted to push this further, you could add a couple of things (a lose state, some other task to distract the player and keep them busy which would lower their guard, and a different layout for the house that limits visibility). Overall, its super solid. Loved it! Great job! And I love that you added a jump scare. lol

Thank you so much for playing!

I definitely agree with each of your suggestions. I definitely got jump scare ideas from Late Night Mop and would tout that game as a better implementation of the vibe I was going for.

Thanks again!

Thank you for playing!! I went with ps1 resolution and it gave it a really nice feel without me needing to do anything with shaders.

Had a weird thing happen when trying to play in browser. Not sure if its just me? My controls were all good. When my character is looking left and right I am moving my mouse left and right. Almost like my camera is just bugged maybe?

Developer

Haha, that is super weird! It probably got messed up in the intro ‘cutscene’ where I do a camera transform
