Talking points of your game.
If a tree falls in the forest and there is noone to hear it, does it make a sound?
Perhaps more importantly, how is silence and sound used in a game about cutting down trees?
Honestly, it's easier to see than to understand... try getting a score of 30 ;P

For challenge, I tried to do it without killing the birds, 5 was my best score that way. :D Liked the look and the animations.
This is a nice little simple game, it has cute animations, and pretty simple but fun game play. Congratulations on relasing it, it's really awesome :D
Congrats on submitting the game. It was oddly satisfying, although I feel bad for chopping down the trees and killing the killer angry birds.
Same got to 47 trees with 1 hp! fun little game good job
So I cut down trees... 47 of them. The music stoped after a while.. but I don't think it had anything to do with the gameplay..
Fair call. I probably should have done more with the theme of the Jam.
The way it works is that each bird you kill makes the music quieter (it actually loops indefinitely otherwise.) and that each tree you cut down causes a bird to spawn. Basically my take on the theme was to see if I could make players feel bad about cutting down the forest using silence.
That said, there's probably more I could have done with this idea. Thanks for the feedback!
Oh, I didn't realize the music turned down, I was so focused cutting down trees and watching out for the birds while doing that! Now I feel really bad, I cut down the trees and didn't even notice what was happening when I did! That's a lesson learned if something :o
