You collect gold nuggetz, but the more gold nuggetz you carry the slower you are so life is more dangerous.
On the other hand the gold nuggetz you carry can also protect you from incoming star fishes, and you have to collect them to get points in the game.
So this game is about keeping a balance between collecting as much gold as possible staying alive while doing that.
