Art and sound design are awesome! The only flaw I could find is the score works, which is not that clear. Overall it is a pretty fun experience, great work :)
Fun game! The particles, sound and gameplay connect so well, and for a game with a small scope it's done everything great. I don't know how it connects with the theme tho.
Leave one of the enemies from each group behind by not killing them to maximize your score. When you kill the last enemy of a group there's an audio que to tell you that you're hurting your score. Thanks for playing!
I enjoyed this so much more than I was expecting. Not my usual genre to find pleasure from. The use of the theme was awesome and the way everything has been pulled together felt really well considered. This is a great entry.
Thank you, this is one of the most thoughtful complement I've received.
Love the cute'em'up art direction, the chunky sprites and chunky sounds. on the last boss fight the music kind of gone away. Good game and even more impressive done by a solo dev. the following eyeballs where a very nice touch.
Not gonna lie, I was kinda rushing it when I got to that part.
I enjoyed playing this game! I completely forgot the "leave one enemy alive" premise when I first got into the game, but the second I realized it become a lot more challenging and more fun. In order to get the highest score you can, you have to leave at least one enemy from a "batch" alive, but by doing so you end up having to dodge more enemies and projectiles along the way. The "don't hit face" enemy also made me smile, too: I loved the silly little dude. As mentioned in another comment, the fact that there's no music for the final boss is sort of jarring, especially when the rest of the game has that catchy tune behind it.
Overall, great work!
Really great to see how well you engaged with it! You've got a good eye for seeing what is implied in the design.
Reminds me of Space Impact game but I need to leave one enemy behind those packs which is a genius concept for this kind of game. Great job! One feedback for me is that if you press Escape, hopefully it will have confirmation message/will pause the game because when I press Esc, it immediately closed losing my game.
Oh my goodness, I put that in to quickly exit when I was testing. I forgot to take it out!
I really enjoyed this, I played it quite a few times. I was reminded a lot of the game Undertale by the style and music of the game. I think the only thing I had issues with is when the last boss comes out there are no music. But fantastic game, I love this well done.
