are kissing and flirting games (like romance academy or office kissing) considered girl games? i would like to make a game based off the genre, but i'm not sure if it's considered a subgenre of girl games or just something similar. thanks :]

A romance game can absolutely be a "girl game" sub genre. I think that anything that refers to the genre at all is A OK!

You could do a shoot em up as long as you were inspired by "girl games" somehow 😊
