Wow, nice job! I really like the artstyle. It must've been quite challenging to set everything up like that.

I also liked how you introduce and combine new gameplay elements along the way. It's a really polished experience and I'm impressed you pulled it off in 48 hours.

Thank you! It was a very hectic weekend. The art was a shader that I made, it's kinda like a pixelation effect, but it pixelates in diamonds instead of squares. Glad you enjoyed!

Stunning gameplay, I love it!

And congrats to you on your art win!

Thank you! Congrats to you, too!

Oooh, Sneaky.
I've liked this game, the mechanics are pretty interesting.
Very jam-efficient graphics: simple, yet they get the message across.
Thanks ^^

Developer

hehe, the graphics were not jam efficient at all! Dunno if you noticed, but it’s not normal pixel art; all the pixels are diagonal! That posed a lot of challenges, and it’d be much faster to go for traditional pixel art, but I’m still happy with how it turned out. And thank you for playing!

love the art! How long did it take to build all those 😂

Developer

I made the art and mechanics on the first day, then did the level, dialogue and cutscenes on the second day. Art took probably 12 hours, cos it was hard to make the ‘diagonal pixels’ look good. Once I had the style nailed it didn’t take too long though.

I love snakebird and I love this kind of progression more than the individual levels in snakebird, so you made it better 😄. I would love to play this as a full game. The puzzles are well designed and the story is nice and simple. definitely one of my favorite submissions!

Developer

I actually forgot bout snakebird when designing the mechanics, so I originally thought it was more innovative than it actually is, but oh well. Thank you for playing, and I’m glad you enjoyed!

I fuckin loved this intro !!

I'm not a fan of pixel art. But the game mecanic is simple but terribly efficient. And well realized of course. The "rewind" system is a very good idea (I want to know how you proceed for that. I have some ideas but, that interesting me) and make the level go down... Very smart. I love this game. Well done mate.

Developer

for the undo system, I just saved the state of the game each time you move. The when I want to undo, I can just restore the last saved state. The save states held the position of all the player’s blocks, the lava level and the positions of floating blocks.

And thanks for playing, I’m really glad you enjoyed!

Awesome man, I thoroughly enjoyed this. The puzzle design was great! I think I may have gotten soft-locked after getting the final powerup (a moveable block disappeared) but other than that, super polished!

Developer

Huh, sorry bout that bug, I haven't seen that... I guess it might've floated to oblivion during the powerup animation? Anyways, thanks for playing!

Unexpectedly, probably my personal favourite game of the jam. The snake mechanics are really cool!
