Full disclosure, I really liked this concept! I appreciate that you leave the player to discover it for themselves to a certain extent. My main criticism is that the game ends before exploring the mechanic in a really meaningful way, as the current content doesn't require much planning or critical thinking.

Medium disclosure, I am also a Celdur friend.

Fun play mechanic, and probably the best game I know of where the only word spoken is "door." May contain subliminal anti-bee/pro-rectangle propaganda? I agree the door movement is a clever concept and there's definitely room to expand on it.

Really neat concept, I could see this being extended in a lot of cool ways, like using a door to get through a wall within a single room, maybe using a door as a platform?

Wow! This game was fun! Of course it has some problems such as clunky aiming and obvious lack of player sprite - the door mechanic is super interesting and well done! Good job :)

My Rating - 4, 5, 5

I'm not sure I completely understood what do to after the first screen, but it seems like a very original idea! Jams are usually very time constrained, but would be nice to get a couple of friends to playtest it and see if they can progress through the levels!

Full disclosure, i have no idea why I am doing this disclosure.

The flying enemies are HARD! i lose countless health just fighting these guys with my less-than-accurate gun. They fly diagonally and i can only maneuver so much

The one-door mechanic is super fun! 4 screens into the game and i am hooked. Now into my 2nd playthrough with much more careful shooting i am able to get quite far.

May i ask if you made specific zones to put down doors, or did you actually checked thin walls around the player?

I like the reduced jump height when carrying the door. It adds to the puzzles so well.

no really... that's it?

Thanks for your feedback!

To answer your question about the specific zones, the areas where you can place the door are special types of solid blocks. It was just easier to make them thin walls in the time provided during the jam.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the game. I thought that the concept was fun and interesting as well. I won't guarantee that we'll take it and make something bigger out of it, but it would be really cool if we did ;D

And, yes. Really. That's it.

Full disclosure, I have no idea who the creator is.

The game is actually pretty fun. Sound effects were a bit meh, but the door mechanic is very fun. Good job guys. Ps. don't put inside the game text, that says that you didn't have time to do art for your character.

Thanks a ton for the feedback. I'm glad that you enjoyed the game, despite its... polish XD.

Either way, I'll keep your critique in mind the next time I participate to a game jam :)

Full disclosure, I'm a friend of Celdur's. :0

I like the idea conceptually. Navigating the map using only a single door is pretty oddball, certainly goes against expectation. Solid and unusual fit for the theme. Certainly worthy of more exploration.
It's pretty barebones but a decent prototype.

For what it's worth I think you guys didn't do too badly at all. I hope this was a worthwhile experience even for those who were only able to participate for a short time. :)
