Both gameplay and adherence to the themes are perfect, but I think the core design has some problems. I think the most optimal play is to click toward the enemy player, launch yourself while aiming for the enemy as much as you can, or avoid launching and raising your spear up, so I think there are additionnal mechanics needed to add more depth to the mix.
Still a great game, and a lot of potential for improvement!
Great job at making this and making the game a multiplayer! That's rarely seen in Game Jams unless it's a split screen local multiplayer so that's an extra chocolate chip cookie for you! - Multiplayer games can be risky for Game Jams though, but you done it in the right way!
The game is very simple, I feel like a lot can be added, and I'm not too sure where the 'Only One' theme comes in?
Anyway, congrats for getting this game done in 48 hours for the GMTK Gamejam! Great great job!
If you haven't yet, I would really appreciate it if you check out our game too!

Their is only one control pattern : using left click, which works for both movement and attacks.
Good job! I like that you kept the game simple and still managed to make it fun. There's room for a lot of strategy and skill in the gameplay. I'd suggest you keep working on it without straying from the simplicity.
This little game is pretty simple in appearance and mechanics but it has hidden depth to it, which makes the game great! To use the momentum of the "aiming line" to jump and as also to attack the opponent is very clever (i would say, perfect use of the theme) and take some tries to get use to it. Overall this little game is fun to play! Very well done!
Thank you - It means a lot!
I'm sure over the next few weeks I'll be spending a lot of time polishing it up
Great! Keep it up :)
It reminds me of Niddhog. Make an android version of it! It could really be a time killer on long trips. It might even be the next flappy bird, it's simple, it's short, it's annoying AF (in a good way! :D )
I like that you see the similarity. I originally considered adding a disarm mechanic (like in Niddhog), but kept it simple. It could easily be wrapped up into an android apk, but I think I should try and solve local networking (so I could play on the train to work :D )
Yeah, either that or an AI. Or both... :D
