Amazing and hard. I love the japanese youkai aesthetic. The control is simple to grasp yet hard to master (or it is just me trying to find excuses for how hard I failed at getting a high score). Great job.
Thank you! I'd say its both hard to master and hard to beat, specially Stage 2 ended up being too hard for my taste depending on what combination of enemies pop up, Stage 1 is alright with the first boss being harder the longer you let it live.
Fantastic game!
Thanks!
This is incredible! Completely apart from the beautiful presentation, you managed to cram a really good amount of depth into a single button, and combined that with an impressive variety in enemy design. Keep it up!
Thank you lots!
I loved this so much: the theme, the music, the art and style of the game <3 Gorgeous!
It has just a little letdown: it is really hard to be accurate when shooting becaus the jump is really fast.
Incredible game, anyway!
Thanks! Glad you like it! Yeah, if I were to polish something it'd be adjusting its difficulty
I really really liked this game! The artstyle, the music, the mechanic, it all flowed together so gracefully. I feel like the player jumps too fast, though. It was very hard for me to actually land the bullets on the enemies. Maybe decrease the player's speed and make the bullets and/or enemies bigger.
Thank you! I wanted to add a little help to the throwing kunais at the beginning of development, like if you are 5 pixels off it corrects the trayectory to make it less forgiving, but I forgot to implement it and by the time I remembered we only had an hour left.
I do agree bigger enemies are more welcoming for a first stage, reducing the speed migth mess with the current feel tho unless its a very slightly change to allocate for a couple of extra frames of aim time.
Very cool game!
Thank you!
Beautifull art, this game will be perfect on smartphone . I like it
Thanks!
Loved the art design and gameplay. I hope to see this game in android.
Thanks! Who knows! Maybe we'll tackle the project back in the future after some rest
Enjoyed the gameplay a lot. This is a very complete little game! The design and colours are warm and fit perfectly! Congrats! Rated! Great game!
Thank you very much!
This game feels so good to play. The one controls scheme makes it a bit difficult to time the shots but with a little practice it gets more intuitive. Art is absolutely incredible very well done game!
Thank you lots! I think getting used to the controls has its charm, but maybe we should've made larger & easier to hit enemies at the beginning to help.
The game play is really good, challenging and fair. I was surprised by how many uses you fit out of one button. This would make a really good phone game! I do feel like the game is a little too challenging in the beginning.
Thank you!
This game is amazing. The only complaint I'd give is in terms of balance. Maybe (probably) I'm just really bad, but I could never seem to find a pattern in the first boss that shows up that would allow me to remain completely unharmed. I was unable to get past that point, but I really wish I could've
It takes some practice but I agree it turned out harder than I wanted, the first boss went from very easy to hard and a bit random the moment we added those "shield planks" in the middle, still you can get ahead of it if you are fast enough
Thanks for playing!
loved the style and gameplay, great job!
Thank you!
This is a superb execution of the theme! Jumping feels good and makes sense immediately after the first time you try it.
I love the enemy designs, they remind me a lot of Kirby's Adventure. The animations and pixel art here are also amazing. The artist is crazy talented.
I think the game was a little too hard from the beginning, which kept me from getting very far before giving up. Maybe I'm just tired, but the limitations of the one mechanic make it difficult to effectively avoid projectiles and attack enemies at the same time. I think it could be a really stellar arcade game with more fleshed out combat or movement.
Great job!!
It takes some practice but I do agree it turned out harder than expected, we ran out of time before we could rebalance everything.
It is beatable tho, but if I had 15 more minutes to change anything it would be to make it more balanced
Thank you lots for playing and your feedback!
Great Concept with good feeling mechanics. Love it!
Thank you!
