always fun when the score overflows the UI, haha

the ball m u s t grow further!!!

Not sure I follow the question, but don't think so? All colored blocks follow the same logic and have the same chances of spawning. The only thing that's factored is that a bomb *may* spawn when a block is destroyed, it starts at 1% chance and increases by like 0.2% each block destroyed, once a bomb is created the chance is halved.

Made in GameMaker, aseprite for art, chiptone for sound effects and ableton for the music!

i was so ready for a monster or something to show up, not sure if intended but it gave horror game vibes all around haha; neat concept, the style takes the cake though, really love the aesthetics, good job!

thank you! happy to see the lil' secret was found haha, we didn't feel like fixing [REDACTED] so we made it a feature :D

fun concept! would love to see it explored further

my two cents: attaching parts, taking out asteroids/enemies should feel a bit more impactful. There are also so many projectiles and asteroids on the screen and they do so little damage that it doesn't feel like you ever get punished for just eating all of them

love the idea! it's a bit annoying to get the character knocked out whenever anything happens but I can see the potential of it, would love to see it expanded!

very creative! i got stuck on making "boson"s? felt like i missed a step somewhere... I like the puzzle-y aspect of it though I'd love to see an endless mode to this as well if you choose to update it, I can see the game getting crazy with particles!!

i find it really funny that you can see your belly at all times, haha

no problem! :) it's a jam so it's understandable, nothing that a round of polish can't fix!

really fun game, i just wanna keep playing it haha

if you do update it, please consider making click-mashing optional or that you can hold the left-click to attack; my hand ends up hurting after having to click so fast

simple yet really fun; I'd love to see the idea expanded with other types of materials and challenges!

once i got used to the controls it was very fun! The dynamic of stomping & dashing is so cool

re: controls, maybe just a me-issue, but not used to UP being jump, at first I kept pressing spacebar to jump and just kept dying, even after getting used to it I kept mixing up the keys every now and then;

the roomba must be stopped

For some reason it lags super hard out of nowhere on both builds (maybe i do have skill issue dot exe u_u), but when it didn't lag i had fun with all the new power-up animations, the style was really fun! Would love to see all you managed to fit into the game as each round the powerup you get seems to change.

S -> W -> D

Do you see a window popping up or nothing at all? A known issue is that using a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller will have the game flooded with random inputs and block it from starting (if you see a window open) , so disconnecting any controllers might do it.

Do you happen to know if this device is 32 bits? Game Maker dropped support for it not long ago and I forget if Telemochi was part of that or not.

Let me know if any of this helps, I don't mind recompiling the game and see if that does it.

Happy April Fools!

Most definitely, we made this game in a couple of weeks for a jam so if we were to work on it longer some sort of tutorial or introduction would be first on the list. If you remember, for future reference, what did you struggle the most with?

Hi! Thanks for reporting this. Did a quick test and it's not happening on my end. In the meantime:

  • Touching the cats without any fruit crashes the game, is it instant or like on first touch? Did you carry any fruits before or made any mistakes? Anything of note or it just is consistently crashing?
  • Is this v1.2? If not, can you try the latest version? (You can check the game's version on the title screen bottom-right)
    • In rare occassions a redownload might fix it, but if it happens to you and your friend i think it's very unlikely
  • Do you remember your map codes? If so can you share them?

Thanks for the crashlog! Will look into it.

Glad you liked it!

Thank you  for playing! :D

Thank you very much! :D

Thank you! We had so much fun making it, we likely will put up an update with what we didn't have time to add.

Thank you for playing! :D

Bug bug

Hello World!

Just tried. The YouDied_BaNRY_linux 2022 re-export option works on Steam Deck.

small update:

- fixed final boss wouldn't remove the river parts properly

- adjusted collision boxes of some enemies

- added cheat to skip stages (hold shift + 1, 2 , 3, 4)

Muchas gracias! ^^

Croco is the best! Bless

Thanks for playing!

Next to the executable there is a folder called "stages"

In there there are the game's stages. Feel free to customise them! Here's a template: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FKMxPflcxWOG57fpT2zzLOljm_OAId-Pe5EQZabn...

Make a copy to your google drive (or download it) and you can start creating!
