Interesting idea! I like the visual design and the music, and the mechanic is pretty cool as well, even if simple.
Also, as the earlier comment said, you should zip up the .exe and the .pck to a .zip file so the game runs from one download, and works in the itch.io desktop client :)
This game won't launch on my PC - "Error: Could not load game data at path: '.'. Is the .pck file missing?"
You need to download both the exe and the pck and have them in the same folder.
Ah, that was not clear for me. Perhaps you should make a .zip-file with everything in it, so only one downlaod has to be made. Would probably result in some more ratings :-)
I found your game pretty fun, but would love some more detailed graphics and a less steep difficulty curve. But the idea is promising!
This was my first game jam so I didn’t know a lot about uploading games. I’ll definitely try that next time.
