The gameplay, art, and music all added up to make a very chill experience I think if this was expanded further it could make a relaxing game similar to stardew valley in which you don't just grow the food but you have to cook it for your restaurant

The music and camera were amazing. I had a few problems tho, the ingredients wouldn't boil but they would cook on the pan. and some I was unable to pick up once I dropped them. Anyhow the game was pretty fun and charming.  I saw myself taking everything to the cooking table. But then I had to get beef for which I needed to take the knife to the cow which made me break my default state of play. I found that bit super interesting! Please check out mine when you get a chance :D

Great game. A unique idea, relaxing music, that's all what i need.

Nice work with this! Figuring out which tools did what and where to find the water was pretty satisfying. (also hearing the guy cough during the cow noise made me laugh really hard).

I know part of the allure to this type of game is figuring things out, but trying to understand what tool did what was a little tough to discern just by looking at the tool. It was also a little unfortunate to mess up a few key ingredients and feel forced to restart.

I like the aesthetic of this game a lot. The art style and music are great, keep it up!

So you've had the luck to encounter the <1% SFX easter egg, haha :D Glad you like it!

It took me a little while to figure out what I was doing but once I got in to it, I found it interesting and fun :) cute art style as well! A title screen with some help might be useful for future but other than that, good job!

I had fun exploring the map, enjoying the art & music, learning how to boil turnips, ect. Great game! As you put on your page, a tutorial is needed, but the gameplay is intuitive as it is. Well done!

Fun little game, I did find it a little annoying that boiling something early would cause an "Unknown" item to be in the pot, and you couldn't win, but I restarted and enjoyed doing it correctly

That's Interesting, haven't seen that bug before

OMG this is one of the best GAMES I PLAYED IN THIS JAM!!!!!!! NOW I KNOW WHAT COOKING RAMEN IS LIKE but the game is a bit empty

Developer (1 edit)

Good to hear! Though I don't think real ramen takes that many mushrooms.

It's definitely original and adheres to the theme! It looks lovely, the controls handle perfectly, the only issue is I found myself getting a bit lost - as you say, it probably would have benefitted from an ingame tutorial, but really that's the only criticism I can level at it. It's a decent cooking game, gg chief

Please read the text 'tutorial', shown in the game page before playing.                                                We didn't have time for an ingame tutorial sadly.

Thanks! :)

I had absolutely no clue what to do. Next time please put in a tutorial or some form of informations how to use stuff. I could pick it up at least. Was a total chaotic mess after 2 minutes.

Idea on the other hand: Neat.

Stay crunchy.

Developer (1 edit)

Yes we didn't have time for a tutorial (Which could've helped a lot), but we have just created an text 'tutorial' shown in the game page.

Hopefully this will help some!

I would say that is probably why i never got anything done. ALT as a Key is absolutely not viable. Personally i would also always avoid y/z-key. If you use Arrow-Keys just go with asdf/qwer. I alterated my vote to respect the new informations i have right now. Thank you for the text tutorial ^^ It was very helpful.

The Idea of this game is really good. In germany we say, if a restaurant has dozens and dozens of dishes, they probably arent good in any way. Nobody can be good that way. Good Restaurant have a couple dishes and those are more towards perfection. I kind of wanna dig into this game. Hit me up after the voting is done and if you keep working on it. I would really like to test it in the future.

Stay crunchy.
