This is a fairly fun game, and the concept is on point with the theme. Waiting for the right moment to harvest is a fun game dynamic in itself. Good stuff!

Here are a few suggestions I have if you plan to revisit this:

You might be able to make the earlier levels bigger on screen, so they don't feel so small. (However, that does mean your mouse would have to travel further to reach the next mushroom.)

Perhaps replace the timer-based fail condition with a threshold meter? I would rather see the room overflow with mushrooms due to my own failure of not harvesting them fast enough, rather than have them automatically fill the room when time's up. You might communicate this with a visual meter, accompanied by some neighbor dialogue bubbles at certain points, with messages like "What's that smell?" and "I think there's something going on with the neighbor." to "I'm filing a complaint."

The sound effects are great; consider adding some fitting music. ;)

Overall, nice entry, and good luck!

I am very highly motivated to add some more features to this.

The level/screen size issue is already on my backlog because I completely agree with your point.

I had not considered replacing the time at all and this is a brilliant idea. The idea of the timer was that rent was due at that point, but I could definitely represent that better (with the landlord kicking down the door screaming for money or what not). But I like your idea more as it shows how silly it is if you plant your house/garden full of mushrooms! Thanks for that suggestion, I’m going to work it out further. Also the comments of your imagined neighbors are hilarious.

Will add music. I completely forgot about it.

Nice job! Just rated!

This has a lot of potential to be a pretty fun puzzle game! Figuring out exactly when to start harvesting is fun, but I wish there was an easy reset button.

I can imagine that would help. Will add it!

What a cool concept, it really fits the theme ! It's fun, it would be fun to have more mechanics (like differents mushrooms or gardens with special properies) ! Well done !

Developer

Thanks Cap’! I wanted to add more mushrooms and a shop for items to help you manage the farm, but I did not have the time. However, I did not think of having special properties in my gardens, which would make each level more unique. It’s going on the backlog. I’ll keep you posted if it inspires something!

Very fun and very simple, I love it! I would suggest adding a restart button as I clicked the mushroom right away and was confused as to what I needed to do while the timer ticked down. Overall very smooth gameplay with a clean presentation, very well done!

Oh dear. Sorry for wasting 20 seconds of your life! I’ll make sure to add it in a later version, as it’s a simple fix that will prevent some ragequits. Thanks for the compliments!

A very interesting concept where you have to determine when is the appropriate time to pluck the mushroom before it spiral out of control.

Quite a patient game you made here! I can see that this could be useful for mobile application!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! It didn’t work on my phone yet, but I can imagine it would be fun to mash away at mushrooms with both thumbs/index fingers (however you roll!).

Maybe making the mushrooms a bit bigger so my thumbs can actually hit them xD I’ll see what I can do, Skibur!

I  instantly lost at the first level and I laughed hard as the shrooms overwhelmed my screen, well done!

However, I had some trouble clicking on the shrooms because of their size and the speed needed.

Developer

Hi Pole. This is some really great feedback! I could not figure out how to enable full-screen play in the game, but definitely will like into it some more so that the mushrooms are a little bit bigger. Glad losing is as much fun as winning :)

Very interesting game. Possible the more creative one so far. It also shows very well the dangers of exponential growth, fits the "out of control" theme as well as our current situation in the world.

Thanks! I’m sure the current situation has influenced the idea indeed. Thanks for the compliment :)
