fun idea! some levels are definitely more frustrating than others but overall i found the game v enjoyable :)
Interesting idea, but the blocks might be a bit too unhelpful at times (maybe I'm just not good at it?), and there were times when it seemed like I should be able to jump but couldn't for some reason.
Oh, no, they're super unhelpful. Usually if you can't jump it's because the collisions are super strict to keep all those objects from glitching out. Could be fixed, of course, but not by me in a weekend on Pico8.
That was really fun! The RNG with the block movement was noticeable in the later levels involving the green jumping blocks as I spent a lot of time just waiting for them to jump. You have a lot of levels and they're well designed though! I really like the concept behind the environment moving, it was super engaging. Also all the different environmental creatures were drawn and animated really well, they all had personality. I could for sure see this transcending PICO and becoming its own thing :D
Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with the level design — left to my own devices I'd have kept adding block types and mechanics but the PICO-8 completely ran out of clock cycles so it forced me to actually make some content instead and I'm really glad it did. 🙂
I might expand it one day, there's a fair bit I'd like to fix up — I had grand plans for letting you bounce blocks around on your head, for example, which would have helped with the "getting stuck under things" problem and opened up some new possibilities, but there was no way it was happening on a PICO-8 in two days.

Hey fellow PICO-8 dev! That's a nice game :) Maybe a little too luck-based for me: for example, on level 6, the flag almost immediately came next to my character!
Got suck under some blocks in the beginning and had to wait a minute to be able to move again. other than that an interesting game
