Simple & enjoyable with so much polish - I love the scarabs flying all over the place! The gameplay loop is pretty addicting too. With a few tries I managed to get a time of 37.5 seconds hehe :) great work!

One of my favourite entries into the jam I've seen so far!! I love the style and the massive feeling of the world, the character swapping, the lack of hand-holding, it all comes together into something truly special. I managed to unlock the green character before unfortunately getting soft locked on an inescapable ledge, so my only complaint is that there's no way to 'hard reset' a character back to their original spawn. Regardless, I'm positive that I'll be back to explore more of this amazing environment you've created. Stellar work!

Edit: Came back & managed to beat it, what a game, 10/10 i love it

Cute little game! I liked your interpretation of the theme haha, and being able to swap between two platforms is a fun twist on other auto-runner type games. I found the bat pretty hard to dodge personally, but maybe I just need to get better :P good work man!

Interesting idea! I got a little bit stuck at the beginning because I tried using the grey cube to weigh the button down rather than the blue ones, and the jumping was pretty difficult, but I played for quite a while & had fun :) i think the black boxes should be able to squish the player or you should be able to restart in some way, since you can get stuck and be forced to quit out currently. Great job overall man :)

I love the visual identity in this, especially the colourful fireflies, and the idea is super unique too! Unfortunately I experienced the flashing instructions bug too (running on windows), and found myself often stuck on geometry, including being unable to fit into the end of level door multiple times. I also found the instant 'you lose' screen to be pretty frustrating; I would have much preferred to explore the level in my own time and reset when I've figured out how all the pieces fit together. Still, this is a remarkable entry at its core, and I would love to play a full version of the game in the future. Nice work :)

Cute game! I like the premise but found the controls to be a little bit frustrating personally, but I enjoyed the simple & effective gameplay otherwise. The string music also adds a surprising amount to this, it's a great fit for the overall vibe. Good work :)

Cool submission! I love the vibe and idea, it's a lot of fun having to shift between climbing and maintaining the rat's size. It'd be cool if there was more to the climbing than dodging the boulders, but I very much enjoyed my time as a wee rat man. Great work man!

Very cute and loved the style, as well as the variety of powers available! Definitely gets too hard too fast but I enjoyed playing the first few levels before getting overwhelmed. I also like that you have to extend the gravity in order to collect exp, it adds a little extra flare to the already unique combat style. Nice work!

Thank you so much for playing! I’m glad you enjoyed the hunger meter, I thought it’d be a good idea to add some intensity not seen in most papers please-inspired games :)

thank you so much! I’ve never done much writing so I’m very happy that folks are enjoying the story :) thank you for the feedback on the art too! I’ll see if I can make the bg darker when characters are talking for a future release.

thank you so much for playing! yes it’s fun to see how folks took the theme in different directions, I’ll give your game a go soon hehe :)

Aahh thank you so much!! Can’t believe you got to the end of day 4 haha, I never thought anyone would see that bonus dialogue lol. Thank you so so much for playing & enjoying :)

Nice take on the theme, I love the point and click adventure angle. I also like the silly light-hearted vibe of the game :) nice work y'all

An incredible take on the theme, I love everything about this. Is Mr Mano's hand where the fingers of Elden Ring originate from?

cool idea, I loved being able to scale the planets mid flight. good use of music too haha, good work!

Cool Idea! I liked the isometric levels and overall game feel. Unfortunately my character got stuck, but I enjoyed what I played. Good work!

Loved the style and atmosphere! I sometimes found the jump controls to be unresponsive, but I otherwise had fun. The door climbing was also very fun haha, please keep it in the game if you decide to take this concept further. Good work!

This is awesome! It took me an embarrassingly long time to realise that the bigger pieces are your current building haha. I love the minimalist visuals, the southing wind, and the level of variety available from such a simple mechanic. Something truly special, and my fave game of the jam so far. Amazing work!

I really enjoyed the exponential feeling here, the music getting crazier and camera zooming out is done really well. Would have been nice to see more enemy types or other changes as your addiction increases, but I enjoyed what I played nonetheless. Nice work!

Cool game! I found the fist controls pretty frustrating at first, but something made me want to keep playing & I ended up having quite a lot of fun :) you absolutely nailed the slow-mo on smacking an enemy, it's soo satisfying :) the online leaderboard is also a cool touch! Great work overall man :)

A cute lil game! The tank controls took some getting used to but I enjoyed them once I got the hang of them :) I like the idea of having to target coloured enemies but I didn't really understand why, if that makes sense - since all enemies try to kill you, you're better off just targeting them as they come. Still, it was satisfying to scale the bullet over time, and the sound effects did a great job conveying the weight of the attacks. Good work!

Love the vibes here! the music, visuals and frantic gameplay all blend together really nicely. I did get stuck on some of the smaller boxes a couple of times, which was a little frustrating but never game-braking. Good job!

This was very charming! I loved the little character moments, particularly smendes holding onto the booth. The gameplay was also very engaging, though it took me some time to realise what was going on & which species were which haha. Very cool to see how both our games had similar themes and inspirations, yet feel so different to play. Great work man!

thank you so much for playing man! unfortunately the build we uploaded is a little busted, but I'm glad you enjoyed the first few levels : ) our downloads page has instructions on how to manually unlock all levels if you'd be interested in seeing the other mechanics we added? massively appreciate the feedback either way :D

I'm gonna go check out your heart weighing game now lol

fun game! I liked the premise and also enjoyed playing as a cube specifically; I don't think i've played many games with such a character and it leads to some fun interactions with the world :)

The art is amazing, and i love the little details like the man playing music in the corner and the dice stacks growing smaller as they lose health. The game play idea is one i've seen a lot this jam, but the visuals helped to keep it fresh. That being said, I gave up on the final boss due to only die of a certain number hurting them. It's a neat idea but i just found it frustrating that 5/6th of my shots did nothing. Overall a solid experience, good job!

Thanks for playing + the feedback man! definitely gotta get on the understanding-shaders grind haha

Thanks for playing + the feedback! The dice reroll thing is defo the most common bug, glad u had a good one in spite of it. The new unity input system really threw me off ngl, spent waayy too long to just get it sometimes working lol

thanks for playing man, glad u enjoyed the style!

thanks for playing! + yeah, I definitely went too cryptic with some of the signs lol

Thanks so much ! it took a lot of tinkering to find a fog level that didn't feel too restrictive, glad u enjoyed it :)

Thanks for playing man! I've got a big list of games still to rate by 8pm today but I'll add urs to it :)

thanks for playing!

A well made and very relaxing game! I loved the depth to the rules, the multiple ways to score + get combos works really well. An in game menu and explanation of the rules would go a long way, but as it stands the game is perfectly playable. I'm keeping this installed, will definitely play a few more rounds soon :) great work!

A very creative take on the theme, I enjoyed this a lot! The art and music are both superb, I love the way your opponent disintegrates on defeat in particular. The level of polish is also astounding, the little :P button and achievements both add so much to the game despite being pretty small features. If each turns animations could be skipped in order to speed up the game play then I think this would honestly be flawless. Amazing job!

An FPS approach is a pretty unique take on the theme, well done! The facts that you can hit the die in the air really elevated the game for me, it helps to flesh out the otherwise basic combat. I did not expect voice acting, nor to enjoy the NPCs so much! The presentation could obviously use some work, but for a 3D game made in 48 hours it's definitely acceptable. Good work!

thanks for playing man! I already have a lot of ideas for the game post jam, though it'll probably be in a much different form. Thank you for the feedback :)

A very creative take on the theme! It's a very simple premise but works well, and the simple presentation is effective. The online leader board is another awesome touch, it would have been awesome to have a larger arcade style one but it's understandable given the time limit.

Unfortunately despite playing a fair while I can't really say I enjoyed it all that much. From the tutorial graphics I assumed there would be greater visual feedback on cutting, and the shards of dice felt like they didn't register a lot of the time.

The dice time being a time limit is also a neat idea, but I think it encourages a safe, boring playstyle. I didn't feel motivated to go for big scores because I knew I'd eat up a lot of my time getting close to them, and I would still likely come out the other side gaining zero points. In contrast, small scores are easily achievable with little to no dice time used up at all. The best way to get points is to just sit and wait and ignore the fun parts of the game, which is a massive shame, and fatal to the overall enjoyment.

Overall, it's a very solid game with just a few things holding it back from a top score, so please take my comment with a grain of salt! The fact that optimising the fun out of the game is the only major problem just goes to show the depth of the mechanics. I'd love to return to this with a few tweaks post jam, it has the potential to be an amazing game that would fit perfectly on moblie :) good work!

I love love love the characters, they're so cute! I also like the point + click movement system, it's a unique approach, and feels good to play. The combat could really use more work, starting out simple works well but there could have been more variation in attacks + difficulty, beyond increased hp. Some simple sound effects would have gone a long way too, with no sound at all I can't justify a 5/5 in presentation, which the game otherwise easily deserves. Overall, a good proof of concept :) I'd love to see a full version with the features you mention.

Loved the minimalist pixel art style, and there's some real mechanical depth in both the power-ups and the abilities of the character! The wall jump feels great to execute in particular, but is brought down by how the character sticks to the walls. Other issues with the controls sadly decreased the enjoyment factor for me, but I can appreciate the ambitiousness of the project, especially considering the time frame. With a few fixes I would gladly revisit this :) good job man!
