How does your game fit the theme?
In my game you have to collect some orbs and when you do so, your controls change so it is harder to move.

Great work! Really enjoyed the art style and the "Out of Control" experience. Well done! :D

I loved your game, but it was very frustrating when I got 3 orbs, and I didnt really understand it that much, the out of control theme fits with this game very well although your still pretty much always in control, love the game so far and its a bit like geometry dash! presentation was amazing aswell loved the art! and the audio!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! There were 2 doors, once you have collected 3 orbs you can open the door on the right to get the last orb and then you can open the door on the left ;)

I liked really much your game, i like the concept and i like the art... Hoever there are 3 points thati didn't enjoyed very much while playing...

  • The section where the orbs are in the air is frustating (i didn't complete it sadly 🙁). I suggest to add some air friction to the player and not stop it immediatly to loose some of the frustration
  • In all of the game you use WASD and Space to move. The you get in the same session i was talking before and... LMB/RMB... That's a low kick move if you ask me
  • I suggest to change the texture of the locked door from that of the neding doors, because  they are indistinguable

Don't get me wrong, i still like and enjoyed your game, but still... Good Job!!! 😑👍

Thank you for your honest feedback! I didn't expect that the levels would be that hard. I am sorry. You can hold other keys while moving so you don't have to think what to press when you are jumping ;)

Yes, but let's say i have to get a risky orb and i have this controls at the moment ["D" to go right, "A" to go left and "Space" to jump], and then  when i collect the orb i have this controls  ["A" to go right, "S" to go left and "D" to jump], then:

  • If i hold both "D" and "A" i'll stop moving and risk of die in a pit or in a floor of spike
  • But if i don't hold both key then i had to switch up and still risk of dying because i was too slow to switch up my keys

It's one of that situations that "seems really easy to solve, but it's actually quite complex to solve" in my opinion

At first I was expecting a lame control reversal between right and left, but you really spiced it up with just enough variety. You spent time trying to exploit the difficulty of the mechanic which is great too. I think you did just enough, there's only so much you can do. Art is pretty nifty, I feel music and SFX could maybe be reconsidered. All around a pretty nifty submission

I like the concept of the game and it really makes the game harder when you have to jump between spikes and the control changes when you land. Nice job with the post processing it adds to game, and the art style is simple but effective. I would change the hit box of the spikes, to make the hit box smaller because the hit box is larger than the spikes. (or thats what it feels like)

Really fits the JAM theme!

I like that the control changes are not random, it makes you have to "memorize" them after every attempt.

The "no jump" level is hard! D:
