I don't really get it to be honest.
I understand that firing is random and the spell effect is random, but I don't seem to take damage and I can only move right and jump... So where I get to the right of the screen, I can't do anything...
Maybe update the game description (if that's allowed) or just update the comment section here with a few more details.
If nothing else, you at least managed to release something to the jam, you've done better than most of the other applicants.

In fact we are french and we mess by having our move hotkeys on "AZERTY" keyboards... ><'
The main feature was about the random firing. Each bullet have a special effect by touching mobs.
Here we had a sponge, if you touch him with water he will grow, with wind he (was supposed ><) to get knock back.
We tried to implement a "oiled state", if he touch a oiled platform he turn into oiled form (we had the animation and all :( ) and become immune to water but weak against fire.
But we were too slow to implement every ideas, next time will be better I hope ;)

Unfortunately, it seems like this game didn't come together like you probably hoped. I don't feel the need to go over its shortcomings, I imagine you're acutely aware of them. I do want to still congratulate you for turning anything in at all. 18k+ people entered this jam and just over 5k submitted. You may not be the proudest of your end result, but that's what jams are about; finishing the race and learning from your time running it.

As you said, it s far from our first idea, but we gave our best and we are still proud, we did something, messy and not finished, but something! :)
I can not understand how the game works. The graphics could be better. Overall not a good game I'm afraid.

As you can see, we ran out of time, a lot of essential features are not in the game.
The main idea was: Firing random bullet, each one have a special effect on mobs (fire mobs get bigger when they are touched by fire etc). But we were not able to implement every essential ideas to have a good game ^^
