I found the game a bit infuriating, but I get that that's the point. In my opinion this game wasn't too "fun" but I liked it nonetheless because it got its point across. It made the player feel like they were out of control, but not too out of control that the player isn't even playing the game. The music is that right kind of offsetting that plays into the theme of this game. I really liked all the polish and the level design screen. Very original idea!
I appreciate your feedback and am glad that you did in fact still like the game even in the most infuriating of times :P
This is a really cool take on the prompt! It would be interesting if you could somehow influence how often Fred agrees with you.
I was thinking about someway to alter that, but couldnt think of anything viable within the timeframe. Would love to try some of these ideas out somewhere in the future though after the whole jam has completed
I like the idea that you are playing as Fred's conscience and not actually Fred. :) The sound and graphics are good too. It's nice that Fred gives feedback about if he is following your directions or not.
Really glad you enjoyed. Fred's a lil rude with some of his comments, but we still love him all the same
Love the idea! Is there any heuristic in the Fred AI or is it random?
The only thing I didn't like was that the tutorial text automatically advances. Let the players take their time reading!
So I made it that Fred agrees with you 60% of the time and then when he disagrees he will choose a random available route that you didn't suggest
I agree that would have been better. Will keep that in mind for any future projects that we develop :P
"This is Fred. Fred is a rectangle. Fred has personality. Be like Fred."
