How does your game fit the theme?
Oliver is playing The Labyrinth in VR, and you are playing Oliver, but not in VR. Oliver Plays The Labyrinth takes you out of control over the game and makes you play as the player. It's also about that feeling you have of losing control when you trip over furniture playing roomscale VR games.

Cool concept and the graphics, music, and gameplay are great

Love this! Incredibly original with great visual design. I can only imagine how difficult this was to implement and test, but you pulled it off. The only thing that may hold this back is it just feels so unnatural to play, but that's kind of the point. I would be interested to see ways you could address that without losing the core puzzle.

Overall nice work! Best I've played yet

Thanks so much!

Yea the awkwardness is baked into the concept a degree, but after the jam I think I’ll try giving the player a little more “control” and separate inputs that work  from the first person perspective. So you can switch inputs based on where you’re looking. Might hold the complexity but reduce the awkwardness.

I agree with Yam here... The idea is interesting but it is way too confusing to actually work! The level design would probably need to be even simpler for it to be understandable.

And yeah, the music clearly downgraded the experience.

thanks for playing!

I regret that music haha. Had a better tune I should have gone with that is less high pitched.

Completed it!

I really do love the idea, however the controls and the 3d camera were awkward at best.

The music had this high pitch thing that made me have to mute the game audio.

Other then that it was a well polished experience. Well done!

Thanks for playing!!

How easy/difficult was it? I would have loved to add way more complex levels but of course ran out of time.

The controls were supposed to induce the feeling of “out of control” with the awkwardness of the two perspective, but it sounds like they are probably too awkward in their current state. Thanks for the feedback!
