Generally a creative idea and well done execution.  The theme fits okay, but not quite as good as it could have, I feel. The animations, sounds, and display is all really cool and felt very cinematic. The story is really good too and was pretty emotional too. I felt myself get really invested and just a little sad when Timmy died. My only complaint is the stock images can be a little distracting, but its perfectly understandable that you guys didn't recreate an entire military set piece for the 48 hour jam. Great stuff!

Thanks for the kind words! As you say, it was a challenge to get the roles reversed right. But I'm very happy that you enjoyed the story. Have a great day!

I sacrificed Timmy first chance i got 10/10

In all seriousness, this was a fun experience that felt very well polished

Thanks for enjoying our game! We know players keep sacrificing Timmy very early lol

Really well done! The story was moving but I had some technical issues while playing:

  • I had a glitch at the 'Battle of Toren' that showed my son twice, one lived and the other died?
  • I saw was that sometimes the smoke effects wouldn't show when units were fighting.
  • Sometimes numbers would display as 1,5 instead of 1,500
  • When going for an 'always attack' run. After Kronhagen said he'd lead the attack the game soft-locked

Overall an excellent game about the cost of war and the value of life! One of my favorites so far from the jam!

If you continue working on it, please add a 'fast forward' option for replaying the battles to speed up replaying and getting all the endings

Thanks for the nice review! I'm very encouraged:) I'm aware of some bugs as you said, and it's a shame that I couldn't fix them before the end of the Game Jam. We'll update after the Game Jam evaluation period is over. We'll definitely consider your suggestion of a fast forward feature.
