Oh man this is fantastic!! A great addition to our mini "be the boss" genre. The story is executed fantastically with a nice twist at the end. And just the idea that you're brand new and don't know what to do on the boss ship adds to the experience since... as a player you don't right away know what to do!

Two minor issues I do have. 1. The html/web version didn't let me full screen so the initial play box only showed like a quarter of the game. I ended up having to download it to see everything. 2. I do like the idea that you don't know what to do as a player so you have to try things out, but I think maybe it was a little broad, and maybe giving the player a hint like "certain A-Z keys control the ships weapons" or something may help at least narrow things down. As far as I'm aware only QWE and IOP keys are used?

Honestly thought this was excellent. Extremely good work on this! I enjoyed it quite a bit!!

ZXC and BNM also do something. :) The idea was to make basically the whole keyboard do *something* to make experimenting more interesting, but you know how jams go. We also wanted a UI showing how many of the features had been discovered. So that's all for V2! Fixing the build, too.

Thanks for playing and for the thoughtful feedback!

I would add a button to allow fast text! great job on the submission!

Holy hell I loved this (especially the title), it had so much character! The concept of not knowing the controls is something simple yet well executed. I don't know if there were any weapons apart from the cannons. If you wanted to expand on it, you could have an actual control panel on screen where you press buttons trying to figure out what does what.

Love this idea! I'm a huge fan of experimenting with controls and having the player have to guess the controls is perfect for the theme and tone of this game. Also a big fan of the expressive character sprites. Well done!

This game was epic. The idea is fun. I wish there were more weapons to user. Overall great game.

COOLEST IDEA. also I played it together with a friend on single keyboard which was cool! player ai was cool.

we found (spoiler) QWE very fast so it was quite easy. it's like the game "twister" but for keyboards. insane! best game we played so far, i would play another level with a different ship or something! also maybe it could be changed to a party game like keep talking and nobody explodes with a harder controls and some vague manual. coolest idea!

we didn't get it working properly (screen was cut) so i found direct html link, if anybody has problems with loading the game in fullscreen, you can try this https://html.itch.zone/html/8267978/index.html

Haha, thank you! I was wondering if it would work well as a shared-keyboard game, so I'm glad you had a good time with that. We have a lot of ideas for additional weapons and maybe more scenarios, so I'd love to do more development on it in the future. Thanks for playing :)
