Nice concept, I could really see this as a DS/3DS game!

Really nice gameplay. It was awesome to see the screen transition from 2D screen to a 3D world. Seems like you had to make 2 separate mechanics/games in this project and it's so cool. Dialogue and story telling was nice as well. Really good job for a 48hr project.
Yeah, so its actually two seperate sections where a 3d map is captured onto a render texture and then in another space a camera is looking at that with the UI elements, which AGAIN is another render texture. You can check out how its done here if you like: https://github.com/Sanokei/AdventureOfSirRobin
The dialogue system was really important to me to get the feel right, I really wanted to do voice over and have the music be part acapella like the adventure line song from stanley parable:
But I ran out of time :c
I am very pleased with how much I got done in a little over a day and a half. I pulled an all nighter to get it done, and I ruined my sleeping schedule and dont regret it one bit xd
Loved the look up to see what Robin was doing mechanic. Really neat idea.
I honestly enjoyed this playthrough quite a lot!
the Idea is quite unique, the first I see of this kind actually, so kudos on your creativity!
such a concept really has a lot of potential for gameplay,
the execution was quite nice, the game plays well and controls are rigid too, overall I like the concept and the gameplay loop,
I appreciate the narrative and the dialogue too! it actually gives depth to the an otherwise short game so well done there too, a plot really puts everything in context,
visually, the game looks stellar, I like the sprites a lot, and the choice of the color palette, I noticed that the environment is kinda 3D (or maybe not? not sure) thus it gives a sense of depth to the game, this really makes the playing experience pleasing to the eyes,
overall this a solid entry, I appreciate the addition of UI work too, to realize a game of this scale in such a short timeframe is truly applaudable! well done!
other than the fact that the game size north of 300mb's which really discourages people to play,
the game was a fun experience, I appreciate such a unique Idea being executed this well, great work!
Thank you so much for taking the time to download and play the game.
Your words are very kind.
The unique idea was actually not orignally mine. Theres a game called Wilmot's Warehouse where I took a lot of inspiration.
The game is 3D but uses a render texture that scales down the view to make it look pixelated, which can be seen in a lot of games like A short Hike, Backbone, TimeOut.
The size of the game is not what I expected it to be, I used a lot of models and I believe that is what made the file big.
Thank you again, for playing!
I am suprised when the camera moves down into this magic bag, and I realized that I am a spirit in that magic device. That made me really love the idea.
Great job! Hope you'll make a complete game from this after the jam.
