Interesting idea
I liked the concept but I thought it would have been so much better if there was an indicator for when you did it correctly or made a mistake
That's right.
I do have a scoreboard-like panel enabled in the debug-build of the game (which I shall add in the downloadable files).
However in the spirit of the n-back exercise I removed it as real time feedback is not provided while testing.
I'll admit, I had no clue what I was supposed to do. I saw the squares jiggle; and a button on the side with a diagram... but nothing easily intuited worked. Though reading the store page clarified things, it would have been handy to have a line of text explain that in-game. Also, none of the end-game buttons worked.
Thanks for playing wabuilderman!
I admit it was rushed and the tutorial could be a lot better & probably help out first time players. I will try to address this.
Surprising to hear about the endgame buttons bugging out. I couldn't reproduce it just now so I will try some more rigorous testing of that screen. If you have the time to drop the details when this happened that would be fantastic too.
Thanks!
Hm... Well, I was able to reproduce the bug twice in a row. For your reference, this is on Windows 10, run in windowed mode w/o adjusting size on a 1440p monitor. I didn't score any points, just clicked around right at the start (getting a false positive), then waited for the end-screen.
I can feel my brain tingle while playing this game as it slowly transforms into a queue. Extremely optimistic to let the N-Value slider go to 20 :)
I somehow missed the Dual N Mode toggle my first couple of tries, and I am NOT smart enough for that. It might have been interesting to change the scale of the blocks rather than add an audio cue, but the audio is a great addition. Great polish!
Thank you Otterpop!
I like your feedback on alternative prompts in Dual mode. I also am just dipping my toes in shaders so I would definitely like better animations on either mode.
Thanks for playing
