Interesting concept but needs a bit more development to add some gameplay it overall. Maybe look at utilising the flashlight to note items in the hall to initiate dialogue and options. Maybe add the need to turn it of at times to hide. Definitely has some potential. Also, the talking flashlight was super creepy.

This is an interesting idea.  Controling the flashlight instead of the player could allow for a lot of really interesting horror mechanics, and I would be interesting to see what this might look like with a bit more development.  It created a really creepy atmosphere, and I imagine that a game like this would do well as a VR title.  However, the flashlight didn't seem to actually do anything, and the game cut off abruptly after I entered the cabinet to hide from the monster.  I don't know if that was intentional, but it made the game a bit boring, as there was really nothing for me as the player to do.  It would be cool if the player had to point the flashlight at enemies or objects to interact with them.  Overall, cool idea, and I think it has a lot of potential if you ever decide to go back and build on it more.

So I posted an update, was meant to be outside of the Jam, but I guess I still don't quite understand Itch.io (this being my first jam). Disqualify if you will, but I hope you'll find some value in trying it out at least ^ .^

I'm not sure that your game is doing what it's supposed to be doing. I see the main character running into some corridor for 2 seconds then I get something that looks like a game over screen, while dialogue is playing. Am I missing something?

That happened to me too when I played, it seems like pressing the D button triggers the credits? So as long as you don't press that, you can advance in the game, but I'm still not entirely sure how to move :(

It's on the rails. A while after the intro you'll get to 'control' the flashlight. Part of the "out of control" theme. As the flashlight you can sort of help, or.. not help the main character.
