Very unique and interesting mechanic. I think I won? Maybe try to make the background a little more distinct from the characters in the game world (less complex pattern). Nice work!
wish I could play in browser absolutely amazing to see how far you've come!
I couldn't figure out how to attack, so I died. I did see how to defend though, and that was interesting.
Hi znart! The directions are on the game's page, you can attack using the arrow keys, but this takes up an action on the dice on the opposite axis, so if you dont have any x moves, you can't attack in y directions. Hope this helps :)
Thanks for the reply!
I did not read the page first, I just dove right in.
It is very confusing to use WASD and Arrow Keys at the same time, especially for a turn based game. The use of the X and Y dice as different attacks is also a bit more complicated than expected. I feel it's just complexity for the sake of it, rather than an interesting gameplay mechanic.
The mechanics were made with a puzzle game in mind, but game jam improv had to come in when I didn't have the experience/time to build levels. Thank you for your feedback on the controls!
I completely understand!
Very fun game! :3
Thank you!
