I am happy to hear that you like the game! I optimized the game a bit more mostly on the CPU side, but also GPU. I got a 50% increase in performance on my PC and hopefully it's going to be better on your end too.

I also added an option to disable the shadows completely.
If you're still having performance issues try using the retro filter as that also increases performance by a lot.

Also if it's not too much trouble could you tell me your computers hardware specifications and the average framerate you're getting? That way I would have an idea of how much optimization I should aim for in the future.

Hopefully you can finish the game with these changes! To update just download the 1.5 version and replace the old files with the new ones.

Sorry for the late reply! You are now always guaranteed to get at least 1 pumpkin back, with a 30% chance to get an additional one, or you can use the powder to also get one more.

Thanks for letting me know! Right now you can use the "Teleport home" button in the Settings menu.

Hello! Your energy goes down when you're walking or running. There's also a Teleport Home button in the settings menu which takes half of your max energy  if you want to use that. The energy amount required to sleep is pretty high so just walking for a bit should work. As for the water, there's a chance of rain each day and you can get more water as you progress in the game. Hope this helps!

The game looks good but the gameplay and feedback is not that great. Also the game doesn't really fit the jam theme, it's more of a basic topdown shooter. Congrats on finishing it in 48 hours though!
