Nice game! Props on the name "Gerry de Geest". Very Dutch.
Some feedback:
-When I died, I chose retry, but the game still quit anyway.
-I couldn't choose an attack from the move list.
-Healing didn't seem to work.
Thank's for playing the game! the first dice is supposed to chose 1 move from the move list, but I didn't really explain any of it so next time i'll make a tutorial. and the healing not working and the retry button quitting the game are known issues i'll try to fix them when the rating period is done.
for your first game, this is very impressive.
the first time i tried to participate in the gamejam, a year ago, i didn't end up uploading anything!
that being said, now to the honest review:
+ your game has a nice hint rat character, he's very cool
+ your game actually works, that's great!
+ your game has music
+your game has decent art
- you forgot to set the textures of the tilemap to pixelart mode (turn off bilinear interpolation)
- it's not very interactive, there's not much feedback to what you're doing, which includes the lack of sound effects
- i believe you forgot to increase the health texture's length when you heal, at least that's what i think happens, because i kept being alive even when the red bar was depleted completely
- imo the player doesn't have many meaningful choices to make, when you have something out of control like the dice roll, you'll need to give it a counterpart that you have strong control over. i would suggest doing that by first rolling the die, and then allowing the player to choose what action he wants to perform with it.
Thank you so much for the feedback, it means a lot!

First off congratulations on finishing the game jam!
This was a quick and funny game, the Hint Rat should get best supporting actor for his on-screen death.
I am not sure exactly how I could have beaten the good/evil wizard, it appeared that my heal rolls weren't ever doing much, and certainly were not out-healing his attacks. If this was meant to be a story-only game where the player's actions were rigged from the start that would be an interesting challenge but since I was able to lose I guess there just wasn't enough time to implement more mechanics.
This was a well done game, from the unlikely friendship with hint-rat to the murder of Gerry, I was chuckling all along the way. Congrats once again on completing the jam.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, this was our first game so we really appreciate it!
