Great pixel art! One thought: perhaps put the main character in the center of the screen? I mistook my enemy zombie for myself at first, and it was very confusing
Im glad you liked my pixel art. I'll be changing some graphics but i think I'll stay with that style for now.
To answer your question about character placement: I won't be changing players location, because with prespective i used in my game the left side of the screen is the most intuitive option to put main hero. Many other RPGs put player team on the left side of the screen and enemies on the right. I understend that it could be a bit odd if you've never played game like this before but i think you'll get used to it after some time and it'll feel natural to you.
Graphics are not appealing, could be more interesting even with very little effort. Slight gradients and color variations could help.
Text is more readible if it is not the same color as the background. It should also be light on dark or dark on light to be easily recognizable.
The status bars could benefit from a description what they are fore. eg: Hp:XX and XP, with the amount of Gold it was already done.
It would be nice to have some kind of damage Feedback/numbers pop up with enemy kills.
The dice roll mechanic feels not connected to gameplay. It could be explained why the dice is thrown (some kind of backstory at least)
Sound effects/ music would be nice to have.
Game is intuitive, it does not need a lot of explaining to be played
Combat could be more interesting and damage numbers could be displayed, upgrade system is a little interesting and makes you think about it which is nice.
Thank you for your feedback!
Im aware that my game has a lot of problems and many of them could be fixed with very low effort.
I'll keep working on my game, so all the issues you addresed will be fixed.
Many of these problems were caused by lack of time and I'll be able to fix them easly after game jam ends.
Now because of your comment I know what needs to be changed first and what is important to the player. Im really grateful for that.
