First off, welcome to the jam!! I hope you had an awesome time.
The art and music are perfect together, and the gameplay is pretty fun, in my opinion. The only thing I wanted more details on was how many of a thing did I need to get a power up. That wasn't super clear on screen to me, but this is fantastic work for your first game jam. Great job, and I hope to see more entries from you! :)

This is a fantastic effort. The art style is unique and fitting, while the gameplay is just complex enough to be interesting without being overwhelming. My one sticking point is that the UI is a little cluttered, with the clouds visible behind the arrow and fireball icons in the top left, and all of the icons at the bottom. For a jam game, much less a first one, this is extremely impressive!

Those clouds are very naughty!!! Also, to my surprise, giant fireballs kill your people!! x.x Didn't expect that, but I guess it makes sense! Overall, lovely game, nice design and once I got a hold of the gameplay, gotta say, it's addictive! Well done! I give this game 6 corns out of 6!
