This is an amazing game!

Nice take on an educational typing game. I liked the atmospheric sfx and the pixel art was sweet. Would be even better if you added music. Congratulations on your submission :)

Cool little typing game! Was it a design choice to have some of the alien space ship end up right in middle of the window frames with their names partly covered ? Half way though I noticed I start targeting those ships first so I won't end up guessing their words once they are right up to my windshields. :D

I think starting us off with single words might help those of us not as savvy with keyboards to play a little longer, also would love a stage where we get to repair or recharge our shields.

I think that was my bad. I added art for the shield layers last minute haha

The intro is awesome! Very powerful. But as a non native English speaker I'm really bad in typing games. :'D

What interests me: Is it possible to die in this game?

Developer

your ship will disappear and you will get a game over screen if you die

Typing into a computer to control the space ship felt really cool especially with sound effects of the shields. Maybe you should type fire before the ships names so it feels more immersive? and have another command to get rid of missiles. The idea of a space ship terminal typing game is really awesome as it makes the typing feel like part of the game world. Well done with the game!

thank you!

I liked the concept of the game and how you have to defend an aircraft with he power of typing.

The sound effects were nice. Might have created a better atmosphere with some music.

Although after a while it did get repetitive having to type the words.

Overall, good game.

Very neat game. I enjoyed the epic sound during shield charging! I did get overwhelmed and tried to JUMP away from my problems.... that did not work out for me haha

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I originally had a can_jump Boolean to keep people from jumping when enemies are still present but there was a last minute bug that made me uncomment those checks haha. I'm glad you liked the shield sound. I wish I had more time to add sound and music for other parts
