Interesting idea. Some way to refresh steps might be useful. The backtracking is what made me lose the game multiple times.
Nice game.
For QoL, I'd like the option to hold a key instead of continuously tapping the movement keys (even if that burns steps).
Good job, interesting choice of number, I would go with 420, but 410 it’s good enough, thanks for the game.
Congrats on your first GWJ entry! It took me two tries but I was able to escape with 50 steps left over. Its a neat idea limiting the number of steps you can take.
