How does this game fit the jam theme?
Knell is a game about the apocalypse at the hand of monsters that hunt by hearing. Even though you are a vessel with a timer in it on a short fuse until you burn out in a mere 12 hours. The
deafening bell of the clocktower in the nearby city is your only real source of salvation, and you can chose to ring it at any time to save yourself from a variety of situations you otherwise couldn't hope to survive or escape. At the cost of another player's character suffering the consequences of course.

Did you make all the assets (code, art, sounds) during the game jam?
Yes, all the art piece and written mechanics were all done from start to finish within the span of the game jam.

Honestly a lot of fun to play- some of the mechanics were relatively easy for players to overcome or otherwise get around, but the silence and limitations on communication made for a fascinating shift from general TTRPG games. It's definitely a game where the GM has so much control, the experience entirely comes down to their own creativity within the boundaries set by the rules.

Not sure how well I did, given I was the GM, but I had fun and the players seemed to as well!

This was probably the longest game to play from the submissions, lol, and we had a lot of fun. The mechanics were really interesting, especially how only one of the people playing could talk. It was a fun prompt but I think the overall experience will depend on who the you're playing with and who the GM is. It could be a lot of fun or not fun at all. We only ended up ringing the bell once!

It was really refreshing to play, and you had a great mood building up for us to launch off of. Good job!
