A really nice aesthetic. It might pay to slightly push the characters off the background a little (maybe a light mist effect on the ground, behind the characters?)

Looking forward to see how it turns out!

Yeah, the contrast of the color palette is not great right now. I started off trying to hit the "use only five colors" diversifier, but it's just not enough. I still plan to use a (tinted) grayscale for the most part with color used very sparingly for better effect, but it'll be more shades of gray for sure.

I like the mist idea! Effects like that are not something I have experience with, but it's worth exploring in the polish stage.

The artistic design and dialogue really add to the mysterious atmosphere of the story.
I enjoy simplistic controls and screen space that allow you to absorb the intrigue as you read the dialogue and choices.

I can't wait to play the final game!

Thanks for checking out the prototype! I'm excited to build that atmosphere as I work on the art and audio.

I get a really good sense of how the rest of the game is going to be from this and I'm excited for it! Very nice job on the dialogue selection! That's not an easy task to get down, I've made games with a dialogue tree that was far from ideal so I'm impressed!
