Super fun to see the crews united (without Harold and Reid who get to chill and eat ice cream haha). I liked a lot of things about this! Some cool combat stuff going on, action sequences, interactions between different character abilities. I did find combat a bit slow feeling with a lot of enemies, and the bosses were super tough with quite brutal gimmicks. There were some nice funny scenes as well. I do need to see those final post credits things.

Oh! And edited Oldhar faceset! That was great! The one lost opportunity is using Low's sick Oldhar battler! That would have been a sweet inclusion. We don't get to see enough of that guy.

EDIT: I played through all the final scenes and they were pretty funny! But why'd you make me do that boss battle three times! Would have been a totally decent ending to get those three scenes in there for fun, and there's no good reason to make us repeat the boss I think. Bumping comedy score though!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing the game! I'm glad you liked it . I imagined Oldhar too cowardly and bungling to have a final showdown with him. I'm sorry I wasn't able to use more and expand your beautiful action sequences and the splendid Low's battlers, I will fix it for the next expansion. Thank you for your feedback, I will include it with other feedback received to improve this project in the future. For the final scenes I was too scared of not being able to fit into the maximum duration limit, for the future version I foresee improvements and remodeling thanks to the feedback received

My dumb spaghetti brain made me get stuck in the very first room.

Developer

I'm Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the first room.

Is there anything I can do to assist you in finding a way out or provind guidance on how to proceed?

I'd recommend always running a Recover All on the party before pushing them into a new area you can't back out from.

After the 3rd boss, I didn't realize that the party members that were dead after the previous fight - including the only member with a revive effect - didn't get back up. So I basically soft-locked at the beginning of what I assume to be the final chapter.

Developer

You are right. I forgot to rehabilitate the characters in KO before the final showdown.

A feature that I will definitely include.

Thanks for your feedback :)

I had a hunch this game would look very different once it was submitted, so I gave it a second run!

It's improved in just about every way! I still find it to be a bit slow at times, especially now that there are proper explorable areas, but everything else is quite good! I've bumped up a few of my ratings from when I tested it, so expect a pretty good score!

Thank you so much. The game pace is something I'm working on for a possible future expansion. I'm glad you found it improved compared to the first version. I tried to combine the feedback received with my story idea. Unfortunately, many things that I intend to add are not suitable for a short game, which is why I'm waiting for the end of the Jam to expand and deepen some aspects. Thanks again 🙂
