Boss has no defense vs. circle strafing and enemies have no defense vs. standing in the same place and chop'n away. I actually kinda got into a zone pressing the left mouse button rhythmically and listening to the sound the enemies make when they take damage.
I didn't realize there were levels & a boss until I read the comments, lol. An enemies defeated counter would have been helpful, but otherwise this is a great little game jam game!

Nice job, The difficulty seemed a little intense unless you figured out how to game the system. Still I couldn’t beat the first boss, but had fun trying! I really liked all the details you included like the score count, and the pixel art is great.
