I could not control it using the Xbox controller or Keyboard. Unplayable. The music is too loud too. Not really like Zaxxon at all.

This game does an exemplary job of having a "modern retro" feel.  The music and graphics our outstanding.  Having said that, the gameplay itself is a bit lackluster.  The controls feel too tight for their own good, I almost wish I could control my movements with my mouse to allow for a more "analog" feel (like Atari paddles).  I'd love to see an edition of this where you move with the mouse and fire by clicking.  Perhaps you could award a bonus multiplier for hitting things without missing a shot.  Very solid start you have here, well done!

What a beautiful execution overall and the vector graphics are absolutely great! I didn't manage to use the controls to steer the ship well but I think the game 's style is very unique and memorable. Well done!

Everything was awesome except the controls. Great job! I would've played more if it felt like I could control my ship.

Thanks for the review , there is a bug in the keyboard controls , but with a gamepad (xbox 360) it works fine , after the jam i will put out a updated version.

Curse you! You brought me in with your vector graphics and your neon glow! The visuals look great!

The controls were a pain though, it's incredibly slippery on keyboard yet the gamepad controls are perfectly fine. Also name entry doesn't appear to work.

However those issues are vastly outweighed by the stunning visuals and the music as well.
