un-historically acurate?

can i make a game about a 'history' i made up or does it have to be real events/history?

I am going to assume that you're asking for the next jam, since this one is already in the rating period.

While your game should be inspired by an event related to the theme it doesn't need to be 100% true to the actual event. A lot of games just work by the principle of "could this happen" rather than "has this happened", sort of unknown story that may or may not be true. Hell some guy just ignored the theme entirely and made a medieval game. You can check out how that worked out for him at the end of the rating period.

Basically the topic you pick has an influence on your "thematic relevancy" score and your implementation on "historical accuracy". If you don't care for those you can do almost anything as long as it somehow relates to the theme (I really don't know why that medieval game wasn't removed)
