Is it legal if I promote my game during voting period

There a user on itch.io that plays my game and uploads the gameplay on youtube.

I want to use it to promote my game, do I have to wait until the voting period is over, or I could just do it right away. Thank you

You have the expected amount of plays. It's just how jams flow.

I meant outside of jams

Outside of jams you're competing with an endless stream of content. I recently heard a good talk on YouTube Making Games That Stand Out and Survive where Nick Popovich (one of the guys behind Slimerancher if you know that) gives tips on how to get noticed. You might want to give it a listen it's an hour long, but very entertaining.

Thanks, I will watch it when I have time!
