A small text adventure game made with evident earnestness.

- As you know, the images didn't load in your game. Did you find out what the issue was? I would be interested to know more about it!

- I think it would be really neat to see the previous choices also padded and less merged with the rest of the text, even if the choices have already been made. At the moment, due to no dividers/padding, it is too close to the previous paragraph.

Thanks for making the game and sharing it with us!

The issue is that for squiffy, you have to code the images a different way for online play. I had coded it for offline play.

The writing in this was very good, it flowed well and I felt immersed in the environment. It was refreshing to play a text adventure and I think it lends well to the jam format. If I had to make a critique I would say some audio would definitely enhance the experience. Overall, great job though!

I enjoyed the setting. As people said elsewhere, your writing for the environments were very descriptive. Good Stuff.

Yeah, I discovered that the coding for online and offline use are different. I can make an update.

It’s been a while since I played a text adventure game! Nice choice of setting. Your descriptions were quite vivid. I felt like I could picture the temple and the guards.

One note – the two pictures on the webpage didn’t load for me, so I thought it was broken at first. But when I clicked continue, the text worked without a problem.

Thank you, I was partly inspired by the game Reign of Grelok in Fallout 3. The issue with the images is that coding for Online use and Offline use are different. I'll make an update to it in the future.

The game unfolds an intriguing story that's not widely known, reminiscent of old-school text-based games. Unfortunately, I couldn't manage to assassinate the king. It's a pity there's no background audio, and the initial images didn't load for me. The historical and thematic depth is solid, though. Could definitely use some enhancements in the audio and graphics.
