We used an asset pack for most 3D assets and a lot of the 2D icons. You will like the original 3D asset ;)
Did you enjoy the jam? Is there anything you'd change if you could start over?
Yes, loved the jam!
Aren't you awesome for being creative and taking part?

The Pumpkin and Demon Sword Store was a huge success! All the other pumpkin sellers were ran out of town, as they couldn't compete. Lets just hope we don't unlease any demons.......!
I enjoyed this! A lovely little atmosphere and you effectively used the asset pack! I think the general premise is good - it just needs a little bit more dopamine hits early on, as once I figured out the plant growing and the item crafting, thats where I started to enjoy things most!
Looking forward to see how you develop this further :)
This is a nice concept with great visuals and sound!
It took me a while to work out what to do. Perhaps it needs to be more obvious what the first things the player should do are (e.g., buy plant pot and seeds).
It would also be nice to be able to see how much money you have and what you can afford in the purchase menu.
I did encounter quite a lot of bugs, but once I worked it out the gameplay was solid and I managed to unlock two upgrades. Great job!
While I played the browser version, though it was recommended to download, the only performance issue I saw was the bit of lag that came with rendering the 3D environment and the player's movement in it. I did however find two bugs that bothered me. The first was when opening the storage for the delivery after ordering items. The delivery storage no longer went away it stayed on the screen. Only when I was in the order book did it disappear from the screen but as soon as the book was closed it would reaper. Second, which broke the game was when I pressed X while standing in front of the selling table. the table and the item on it went into my inventory. The table had no icon, it just showed a white box and I could not place it back down after I had picked it up. I think next time you should play test your game a few times before submitting it as it can reveal bugs that went unnoticed. Though I also understand that many of these game Jams are time-limited so looking for bugs is not a top priority, however, I think you should set aside a little bit of time to do so. As I think it can make all the difference.
I played this for a long time. I would suggest allowing the scroll wheel to change inventory items. Also the table did not place in the shop. I had fun selling items and choosing prices! If I could have built the table it would have been a lot more fun! Also, please don't write profanity, it makes you look immature (No offence). All in all though, great concept. I would play the finished version for sure!
(I played the original version because that was what was released for the Game Jam.)
Edit:
I have gone back and played the patched version for windows. I was able to place tables! I played for a couple hours! Very fun! I quickly realized the NPCs buy faster based on price percentage. So I bought the Demon Sword and went to work! That gave me the most profit and 115% kept business going fast! I eventually worked my way up to the top! By the time I was done I had all rooms filled with tables with Demon Swords. Probably like 60-70 Swords! I liked being the Demon Sword shop in town. (The town outside looks great btw!)
A few bugs:
I could not craft anything properly as it would not give me the item and would take my resources. I could only craft a few not very useful items(I'm sure this was due to time constraints.)
I could not rotate tables so I had to place them in rows throughout the shop.
I could not stack items in my inventory.
planting was profitable but no plants were high value, thus perusing this route seems pointless. (cool idea though.)
as mentioned before, the scroll wheel should move through your inventory bar
I could not view my money while purchasing in the book.
when I didn't have enough to buy something, it gave me no sound or message about this.
I would suggest having new purchases push the previous purchase down the screen or into a log book, so you can see all your transactions.
Great game! Unfortunately the table didn't work in the initial release for the jam, but your first patch has made the game very fun! I will be checking back for more patches!!
Thanks for trying it, glad you liked it though!
And yeaaaah, that's a bit awkward... it was not intended to stay in the game actually 😅
But as you could see, it was not taken out.. sorry about that!
it was very buggy for me. Basically nothing worked /:
I love this sort of game!
Reminded me of Shoppe Keep (On Steam) which is a good thing!
Music was great and art had a very nice style.
Thanks
This was really good I just sometimes lost the numbers for changing the price of an item, so I was just selling them for what I bought them for
would love to see this with the bugs fixed, post jam!!! WOOT
Hey there,
Thanks for letting us know!
We released a small hotfix for it, as it was getting in the way of playing it properly
(Of course, we left the original files downloadable for archival sake)
ooooo looking forward to playing it now the hotfix it out! I will be THE MILK MAN! (during stream I was trying to get all the townspeople to buy overpriced milk)
