Fun concept! Loved the art style and you can clearly see the groundwork in place for expansion on mechanics.
Good job!
I loved this concept. Being the little dude behind the screen frantically trying to build the tetromino for the player!
I realised very quickly i suck at making colours which was an interesting fact i didn't know about myself.
The mirrored aspect helps the concept but also adds a moment of '???' when doing certain pieces.
Great Job!
Thanks for the feedback!
I did have the camera fixed originally when I had a "jump" mechanic and then I had to rework some elements and the camera changed with it. I do agree that a fixed camera would be more pleasant so as I will be updating this for my nephew I will make that change on your recommendation!
I definitely learned a lot in this Jam so hopefully I will keep improving :D
Awesome game dude!
Showed me how bad at typing I really am :(
*Edit*
I feel I should add a bit more to this as I was a bit rushed when I left the comment.
The animations are excellent. Felt very smooth and polished.
I loved the way that the missed words are sung out of tune it really adds to the enjoyment when you are on a flow and nailing the song.
The upgrades all fit really well, none are a "must have" so you feel like you can attempt to plug holes in areas you are struggling / excelling.
Music was excellent as always.
Awesome job
Hey thanks for the feedback!
Yeah I found there were times where the spacing wasn't quite right I think i needed a bit more robust logic on the spawning and spacing as I experienced this during testing.
To counter act it I tried to make the collision more forgiving but it still causes issue if they end up lined up perfectly on the Y axis.
This is only my second time playing with UE so just glad it ran to be honest!
I will add this to a current issues list on the page.
Thanks again!
*Edit*
I just watched your VoD on Twitch and I noticed that the highlight on the pugs didn't render either so something else has gone wrong there!
The pugs should have had a green highlight to make it more obvious what you wanted to collect.
