I really like the way it's presented (sort of epistolary novel/found-footage but for the internet), and the overall idea and vibes are cool and unique.  The relationship between player actions and outcomes felt a little strained to me, but predictable enough that I was able to play through a second time differently and get a different ending.  Anticipating unsettling dreams tonight.

Thanks Ashley! I'm glad you liked it and I hope you don't get the watermelon dream.

(BTW, most players don't notice that there's a relationship between their choice and the results, a little bit like real-life on the internet.)

Ok I did not see that ending coming… Fun little game though, nice one :)

Thanks a lot!

Trying to play the game, but it's stuck on black screen with audio.

Thanks for the report. If you reset the browser zoom level to 100% (cmd/ctrl-0) and reload the page, it should fix itself. There is an engine bug that happens when the zoom level is 80 or 90%.

I set my default zoom to 110%. I'll trying zooming back to 100% before pressing play.

Update: It turned out I did zoom out to 90% because I could not see the whole game. I zoomed back to 100 and fullscreened my browser and it worked. If it's possible to check the fullscreen option on the game's itch page, I would suggest doing it, especially because the jam tags cover part of the game. If only I had a little chainsaw to cut them off XD

P.S. Does clicking Helpful/Report change anything in the game or do both just advance to the next review?

DeveloperSubmitted(+1)

I added the full screen option between your first and second comments 👍

The ending, the news reports and a portion of the reviews that you see depend on the choices you make with the Helpful and Report buttons. Your experience (and the color scheme) will change to align with how helpful you found the evil reviews. There are two endings: a bad ending and a slightly less bad ending!

Thank you. I'll go play through properly later.

This issue should be fixed now! Thanks again for the report.

"Go to the equator and start sawing along the dotted line" XD

Just finished both routes of the game. Never realized how big a difference reporting random Amazon views can have on the super natural effects of little chainsaws :)

Thanks for fixing my minor observations for a better playthrough!

Let's not forget that amplifying comments on the internet can have real world consequences 😉

Thanks for playing!
