This game looks like it could be interesting. I definitely think that the GDD needs more refinement and iteration, as the concept is there but the game itself doesn't feel very fleshed out. Coming up with a system to interact with the environment rather than controlling the main character is something neat, however requires far more iteration and testing than a standard 2-D sidescroller.
There are a bunch of submissions and I wanted to give feedback to everyone, so I'm going to list some strengths and weaknesses that I perceive from the GDD's in this challenge (take with a grain of salt, I recognize the challenge this jam theme + time limitations, especially during a holiday weekend).
Strengths: It's a cute concept of the main character becoming self aware. I appreciate the thought that went into your "Determination" system. I think this specifically is cool conceptually, and I like the idea that there's a bad ending where the MC just lost the will to carry on.
Weaknesses: There isn't enough information in these pages. You stated this doc was for programmers and designers (and, yes, investors) but truthfully there wouldn't be enough information about how this game is meant to work for me. Furthermore, it is unclear what the connection is between destroying your environment and the self-awareness of the MC. I'm unclear on the origin of the provided difficulty curve, both because there are insufficient references to the puzzles and because any additional mechanics (as you've described getting new ones as you progress) are not listed. I would have liked to see you take the Determination system and see how you could stretch that to include a range of mechanics. This would support your story about the Metaboy + its willingness to carry on while also maximizing the value of the system you've designed, and letting the player have a way to meaningfully interact with your game.
Like the other commenters, I thought this needed a bit more refinement.
I wasn't sure about controls, or the difficulty curve, plus there were spots where the language was confusing.

When I first read your GDD I was curious to see that the player would be effectively something the player works around instead of controlling them directly. It makes me think of a "Reverse Stanley Parable" or "Bongo Boom".
Some of the phrasing was direct or succinct but gives little specifics into how the game is actually played. I could imagine a few controls for it personally but everyone's imagination is different. Specifically describing the kinds of things in an environment the player will be able to control around the character and what interfacing they would use to do that is a place to start.
The mention of NFT/Web3 integration only made sense to me because I'm a Web Developer but that reference or intent may not be received well by most people. Even then I'm not exactly sure what support plan would be in place for such an integration into the game; that space of tech is a delicate and volatile matter to delve into.
Still, your overall premise of a game where the player controls the environment rather than a direct player-insert character is intriguing. With some more specifics, maybe a sample level presentation/walkthrough and details about a Web3 tech integration lifecycle it could become something unique.
I think this game could use a little more ideation. I was unclear on how you guide the character through side scroller puzzles using only dialogue options, and how you could create scenarios that way that would be complex enough to be engaging. It also didn't make any sense to me to integrate this with NFTs. I do like your little character who's a gameboy who gains sentience and wants to follow his own destiny; that's a fun idea. But I definitely think it needs to be fleshed out some more and probably tweaked around with some.
