This was surprisingly fun, I admit I'm not big on platformers and I'm not big on purposefully frustrating games.
And I should say I agree with the other comment in saying that checkpoints would be a good addition, possibly just make the character switching points save points.
The gameplay is of course fairly simple from an input perspective but it does require some patience and a light touch, especially in the later levels. And I have to say I appreciate the controls being setup such that it doesn't absolutely kill my fingers like a flappy bird clone. Excellent design choice!
The games pretty simple visually, but in a weird way it gives me nostalgia of flash games from the mid to late 2000's lol.
I'm not sure if the helicopter was a good choice for a sprite, just because it seems like it has more collision areas, which can be kinda confusing. If that's intentional, well then mission accomplished. I did notice the collider is fairly forgiving, but it does make it hard to judge if a move is possible or not. Again, that might be intentional and I just don't understand it.
Overall though I enjoyed it, and almost made it to the end of level 5.
thank you for suggestions, i already almost have a checkpoint system done and im trying to think of a different sprite since i agree that the helicopter is weird
the levels are pretty long, they could use checkpoints.
ill think about doing something like that
